STATEMENT OF CORE VALUES

Roy Bible Church and its body of believers uphold and believe in the following as core values of its ministry;

Biblical teaching and preaching, prayer, worship, and love.

These are the essence and purpose of the church in following our biblical mandate to preach the gospel and make disciples of all nations.

1. Biblical teaching and preaching

2nd Timothy 3:16-17

“All scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for

every good work.”

2. Prayer

1Thessalonians 5:16-17

“Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances,

for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”

3. Worship

John 4:23-24

“Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks.

God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth.”

We believe we were created to praise and worship God, and that the praise and worship of God both corporately and personally shall be facilitated in and through prayer, song, and music.

4. Love

1st John 4:10-11

“This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.”

Roy Bible Church maintains that from these four core values, other attributes of a spirit led church will develop, including; accountability, growth, maturity, holiness, evangelism, and discipleship.
